Mark Evans is the President of Sapphire Enterprises.  He is also a founder and Managing Director at Ionic Media, and Ionic Trading. Previously, he was General Manager of the US search business at GoTo.com/Overture Services, with P&L responsibility at the largest PPC search provider on the Internet.

He began with GoTo/Overture heading advertiser product management — the team that designed the features and functionality of online tools used by both advertisers and the GoTo/Overture team. He then led advertiser marketing, with responsibility for growing the number of advertisers participating in the paid search marketplace.

Prior to Overture, Mark was a Partner at CCI (the Center for Corporate Innovation), a firm that brings together CEOs and Presidents of large high-tech and industrial companies, who act as a strategic advisory board for the members. Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mark has an MBA from the Wharton School, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from UC Berkeley.

Mark lives in Boulder, Colorado, enjoying the nearby mountains after over 20 years in Los Angeles.
